Frames on Faces

Selecting the right frame for your new glasses can be quite a daunting prospect, especially when you consider we have over 500 frames in stock (a small selection of which can be seen on the frame gallery page). Help is at hand - we have a state of the art computer imaging system which will allow you to compare up to four frames on your face at a time. It makes the selection process much easier - particularly as you can wear your own glasses to view the "frozen" images on-screen.

DVLA Approved Visual Field Testing

If you have reason to believe that your peripheral vision has been affected by ocular disease such as glaucoma, stroke, brain tumour or head injury for example, we have the necessary equipment to carry out a DVLA approved "Estermann" Driver's Visual Field Examination on our computerised Henson Pro 5000 Visual Field Analyser (pictured left). If you have already notified the DVLA of your condition, they will direct you to us automatically if we are the nearest approved optometric practice to your postcode. There will be no charge to you. If you have not notified DVLA of your eye condition yet, you can still pay privately to have this test carried out. You are legally obliged to inform the DVLA however of any eye condition that may affect your ability to drive safely.
