What to expect
Your eye examination will include:
Checking your distance and near vision
Assessing intermediate vision — useful if you use computers or digital devices
A detailed eye health check to look at the front and back of your eyes
Screening for common issues such as glaucoma or macular changes
Discussion of any concerns you may have, including symptoms like dry eye discomfort
We use a range of modern clinical tests so we can pick up early signs of eye conditions that might otherwise go unnoticed.
Enhanced eye health scans with OCT
We offer OCT (Optical Coherence Tomography) as an enhanced part of your eye examination, giving us a far more detailed view of your eye health.
An OCT scan captures a high-resolution, layered image of the retina and optic nerve. These are areas of the eye where early signs of conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease often begin. Many of these changes cannot be seen during a standard examination and may not cause symptoms in the early stages.
By including OCT as part of your care, we are able to monitor subtle changes over time, helping to protect your sight and detect problems earlier than ever before.
